William (Bill) Gorman Brady, Sr., of Moultonborough, New Hampshire (formerly from Needham, Mass) passed away peacefully on October 12, 2023 surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on January 20, 1938, the loving son of Albert Brady Sr., and Mary E Brady of West Roxbury, Mass.
Bill was a graduate of Roslindale high School. He worked for over 35 years at the Mitre Corporation where he had many colleagues that became friends.
He had a passion for cars, road trips, tractors, his Gator and boating on Lake Winnipesaukee. He especially enjoyed finding the perfect vehicle for all family members. He enjoyed watching sports, including following and complaining about the New England Sports teams.
He was a true family man and enjoyed spending time with all of his family and extended family. You could often find him sitting under his maple tree with an iced coffee, enjoying a lively conversation with whoever was sitting with him. He also enjoyed his role as the “Grand Inquisitor”, asking family, friends and really anyone that came into his circle about their lives. He genuinely enjoyed hearing what people were up to with their jobs, classes they were taking, their travels and everything else they had going on. No one was immune from these conversations, and everyone looked forward to filling him in on their activities.
He is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 61 years, Susan (Perry) Brady, his son William G Brady, Jr., and his wife Joann of Marlboro, Mass. His daughters Janet M Burbank and husband Daniel of Moultonborough, NH, Mary Ann Hazeltine and husband Brad of Stratham, NH. His Grandchildren, Daniel P Burbank, Jr and his wife Linda of Dover, NH, Brian William Burbank of Monterrey, Mexico, Christopher S Burbank and his wife Sophia of Rochester, NH, Steven William Hazeltine of Hudson, NH and Kimberly A Hazeltine of Portsmouth, NH. He was also Great Papa (Greapa)to Owen William Burbank. He is also survived by his dog Holly, who he loved so much, and survived by many loving nieces, nephews and friends who became family.
He was predeceased by his parents, his sister Mary E Brady and brothers Albert Brady, Jr and John Brady.
At the request of the stubborn old Irishman, there will be no services. Instead, we ask that you do something kind for someone else today.
