Virginia Pinker Obituary

Virginia Faye (Buck) Pinker 91 of Plymouth passed away at home with family by her side on October 6, 2022, after a long battle with vascular dementia.  Virginia was one of five children born to Linwood and Lina (Pike) Buck, Sr. in West Paris, Maine on August 3, 1931.

She graduated from West Paris Middle School and moved to New Jersey graduating from Morristown High School on June 15, 1950.  At an early age and being one of five siblings, she always helped caring for family and children, and worked summers as a chamber maid for local cabins and hotels.  It was at that point in her life, she met a family from New Jersey the Sagard’s and the Mitchel’s. She was offered a job as a live in Nanny by both and was treated as one of the family by both families.  

Virginia met John J Pinker, Jr and they married on June 28, 1952.   They lived in Bristol, Campton, and finally Plymouth, New Hampshire, together for 56 years.   While living in Plymouth, Virginia was employed by LW Packard Woolen Mill in Ashland, raised her two children Annette E. and John P Pinker, while being a devoted wife and mother.

Virginia was predeceased by her husband of 56 years John J. Pinker Jr in January of 2009, her daughter Annette E Struve of Rossie, IA in December of 2009, her granddaughter Brittany M Pinker of 2019.  She was also predeceased by her two brothers Edward and Linwood Buck, Jr., and both of her parents.

She is survived by her son John P Pinker of Plymouth, two sisters Polly Heikkienen of South Paris, Maine and Martha and John McCormack of Norway, Maine, her granddaughter Heather Pinker of Plymouth, Virginia R and Clayton Norwood, and four great grandchildren.

Burial will be at the Wayside Cemetery in South Paris, Maine at a later date.  Dupuis Funeral Home in Ashland is assisting the family with arrangements.  For more information go to:  Dupuisfuneralhome.com.
