VERNON L KING Obituary

Vernon L. King, 84 died at Speare Memorial Hospital in Plymouth on August 16, 2016 following a sudden illness. Born in Ashland on October 10, 1931 he was the son of Charles P. and Estelle R. [Brady] King. Vernon was a lifelong resident of Ashland he was educated in Ashland schools graduating from Ashland High School in the class of 1949.Following his school years Vernon served his county in the U.S. Air Force. Upon returning home Vernon was employed at L.W. Packard Woolen Mills in Ashland and also at NH. Ball Bearings in Laconia. He enjoyed reading and working on model airplanes. He is survived by his wife Joan [Adams} King of Ashland, two daughters Shannon Middleton of Nova Scotia, and Dawn Balsar of Halifax, Nova Scotia, his brother Gordon King of Lakeport, his sister Wilma Ward of Morganton, North Carolina, six grandchildren, and 8 Great-Grandchildren. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday August 23, 2016 at Green Grove Cemetery in Ashland at11am. Dupuis Funeral Home in Ashland is handling arrangements
