Sherburne A. Dame 87, passed away at the New Hampshire Veteran's Home in Tilton on February 13, 2019 following a period of declining health. Born in Ashland on March 3, 1931 the son of the late Sherburne B. and Corine [Landroche] Dame. Sherb was a lifelong resident of Ashland he attended Ashland Schools and graduated from Ashland High School in 1950. Then he joined the U.S. Army, serving in Texas and then on to England. He returned home and was employed at L.W. Packard Woolen Company in Ashland for about 37 years. Upon retiring he started his own business of making Whirligigs and maple syrup with the help of many Ashland children. He was predeceased by his parents and brother Maxim "Babe" Dame and grandson Andrew Dame, Jr. He is survived by his wife Patricia [Smith] Dame of Ashland, son Andrew Dame of Ashland; daughters Kathy Jean (Dame) Gailey of Ashland, and Corita (Dame) Tobine of Campton; and two grandchildren Trevor Tobine and Madison Tobine of Campton.
