Raymond F Libby, Sr Obituary

Raymond F. Libby Sr. 78, died at the Manchester VA Hospital on June 3, 2014 following a period of failing health. Ray was born on November 1, 1935 in Mexico, Maine the son of Charles and Iza Libby. Ray lived most of his life in New Hampshire, he lived in Northfield for many years he was employed by Normans Oil Co. and for Save on Oil, he also was employed in the Textile industry. He served his country in the U.S. Army in the Korean War. He moved to Ashland in 1987 and was employed at L.W. Packard Woolen Mills in the card room. Ray enjoyed many sports and time spent with his friends. He was predeceased by his wife Barbara and his brother Charlie. He is survived by his daughters Debra-Rae Purcell, Barbara Weatherway, Jo-Ann Sweeney, and Mayine Libby by his sons Raymond Libby Jr., Daryl Libby, Chris Libby, Step Daughter Karen Landry, and stepson Richard Denham, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren , and his sister Barbara. A graveside service will be held in Green Grove Cemetery Main Street Ashland on Thursday June 12, 2014 at 11am.
