Richard Dana Ash 82, died at Forestview Manor in Meredith on January 12, 2016 following a period of declining health. Born in Quincy, Ma. On February 9, 1933 he was the son of Dana H. and Emma [Wright] Ash. Dick spent his early years in Massachusetts and went on to Concord, NH. Where he graduated High School. Following his school years he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served his country in Korea, when he returned home he attended Babson College graduating in 1958. Was employed by John Hancock Insurance as an Accountant until 1978 when he purchased the Puccetti's Hardware Store in Ashland. After the purchase he changed the name of the store to Ash True Value. He was a member of the Dupuis-Cross Post # 15 American Legion in Ashland. He enjoyed reading, sports, travel, and most of all his family. He was predeceased by his wives Priscilla [Shaw] Ash, and Marjorie[ Knowlton] Ash. He is survived by his son Richard D. Ash Jr. and wife Lisa of Ashland, his daughter Susan Greenlaw and husband Paul of Bethlehem; His four grandchildren are Ellen Meyer of Louisville, Kentucky, Ethan Ash of Dover, NH and Travis and and Ashlea Greenlaw of Bethlehem, NH. He was blessed with one great grandchild, Ivy Patricia Meyer. Calling hours will be held on Thursday January 14, 2016 from 6-8 pm at the Dupuis Funeral Home 11 Hill Avenue in Ashland. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday January 15, 2016 at the First Freewill Baptist Church on Main Street in Ashland at 1 pm.
