Reginald Harold Silver was born in Guildhall, VT on May 1, 1921. He resided in Guildhall, VT, Ashland, NH and Lyonsdale, NY. He left home at age 18 to work and live in and around the San Diego, CA area. He married his first wife, Louise Evelyn Hoglund on Dec 7, 1941 (Pearl Harbor Day) and later enlisted in the US Navy. They had one son, Stanley. After Louise passed away he married Dorothy Gammons Martin in April 1968. They lived outside of San Diego for one year before moving to Manchester, NH. He lived with Dorothy in Londonderry NH from 1974 until her passing in 2000. He continued to reside in the Londonderry home, with his nephew Craig providing companionship until he moved to the Bedford Arbors where he passed away quietly on November 12, 2016 at the age of 95. Reginald leaves his son Stanley Silver (and his wife Cindy) of National City CA, a grandson Travis Silver of Beaverton OR who lives with his wife Shelbie and their son Ethan, his brother Francis (and his wife Jean) of Naple, FL and Castleton VT, nephews Brent, Craig and Jeffrey Silver, nieces Gail Silver Wood and Martha Silver Fugere. In addition Reg leaves three step children, Nancy Capen of Merrimack NH, Jo Ann Simpkins of Bedford NH, Philip Martin of Manchester NH, six step grandchildren and their families. He was predeceased by his parents H. Arthur and Rachel Silver, his first wife Louise, wife Dorothy and one nephew Daryl Silver. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at 11:00am at the Dupuis Funeral Home, 11 Hill Avenue in Ashland. Burial to follow in the Green Grove Cemetery in Ashland.
