Muriel C (LaFreniere) Smith

Muriel C (LaFreniere) Smith, 85, died on May 9, 2026 in Concord, New Hampshire.  She was born in Manchester, New Hampshire on Oct 5, 1940, the daughter of Arthur and Jeanette (LaCourse) Lafreniere.

Muriel was raised in Manchester, and was a graduate of  St Marie’s High School.

After her graduation, she was married to Thomas Smith in Manchester New Hampshire on May 30, 1966 and she enjoyed almost 60 years of marriage.

She resided in the Manchester/ Hooksett Area until 1997, when she and her husband Tom moved to New Hampton.

Muriel was a member of the New Hampton Garden Club, she was an avid gardener, she loved her dogs, and  enjoyed attending car shows with Tom.

She was predeceased by her sisters Rita Smith and Lorraine Letourneau.  Also, her nephew Brian Letourneau. 

She is survived by her husband Thomas Smith of New Hampton, and many nieces and nephews.

Service will be held, per Muriel’s wishes, on Saturday, May 16, 2026 , 2pm at the New Hampton Community Church,14 Church Lane, New Hampton, New Hampshire.
