Maximo Lazo Canales Obituary
Maximo Lazo Canales, 81, went to be with his Father in Heaven on June 1, 2025. He was born on September 12, 1943 in Lima, Peru the son of Maximo and Gerarda (Lazo) Canales. Maximo had a great love for this country, his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, his career and his family and friends. Max served in the US Army. After this he worked many years as a truck driver with Consolidated Freight Ways and into his retirement years he worked as a gas station attendant at BJ’s. Max was very active in his calling with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. After retiring, he and his wife of 36 years, Joanne Canales moved from Waterbury, CT to Ellsworth, NH to enjoy the quiet life.
Max enjoyed sports to include soccer, golf, football, and baseball (go Yankees).
He is survived by his wife Joanne (Bailey) Canales of Ellsworth, New Hampshire.

Children: Maximo Canales, Ivette Canales Williams, Paul Canales, Celine Canales, Javier Canales & Roland Canales. Max is blessed to have many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Maximo is pre-deceased by his parents and his brothers Jose Canales and Moises Canales.
Private viewing will be available for immediate family from 4pm to 5pm.
Church services will be from 5pm to 6pm with time to share stories and memories. A reception will be held from 6-7pm.
All services will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 354 Fairgrounds Road in Plymouth.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to North Country Home Health & Hospice Agency, 536 Cottage St., Littleton, NH 03561.
