Lorraine E. Champney went to be with her Lord after a prolonged illness on February 10, 2015 with her son by her side in Sweeny, Texas. Lorraine was born in Meredith Center, NH to Pete Harvey and Florence (Batchelder) Harvey on January 3, 1934, one of six children. She met her late husband of 52 years, Clifford R. Champney, on a blind date. Soon thereafter, they married and moved to Holderness. On their little corner of North Ashland Road and Route 175, they raised three children. She and Clifford enjoyed exploring America, and she was a voracious reader, encouraging her children and grandchildren to have the same thirst for knowledge and love of a good story. Her beautiful soul and shy, quite wisdom will be greatly missed. Lorraine is predeceased by her husband, Clifford R. Champney Sr. and her lovely daughter Holly L. Champney of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She is survived by her son, Clifford R. Champney Jr. and his wife, Alison of Brazoria, Texas and her daughter, Paulene A. Daniels and Paulene's companion, Gary Waters of Boscawen, NH, as well as 12 grandchildren–Joseph, Christopher, Nicole and Robert Daniels, Nathaniel, Ryan, Michael, Sarah, Madeline, Isaiah, Ezekiel, and Malachi Champney–and four great-grandchildren–Elizabeth, Hannah, Riley, and Drew Champney.
