Kendall L. Hughes, 80 died at his home surrounded by his family on July 29, 2015. Born in Laconia on August 14, 1934 he was the son of Bert K. and Mary Elva [Morrison} Hughes. Ken was raised in Ashland where he attended local schools and was a graduate of Ashland High School. Ken spent the next 22 years of his life serving his country in the U.S. Air Force retiring in 1976 at the rank of Master Sargent. After serving his country he returned to Ashland and with his wife Antoinette raised their 2 sons. Ken was employed at N.H. Ball Bearings as a machinist for many years. He served the Town Of Ashland as an Electric Commissioner, was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He is survived by his Wife Antoinette Hughes of Ashland, 2 sons Jason K. Hughes and Fiancée Martha Hardy and her son Ryan of Campton, and Stephen L. Hughes and wife Crystal of Wallagrass, Maine, 3 brothers John Hughes of Ashland, Nathan Hughes of Tamworth, and Eric Hughes of Louisville KY., Nieces and Nephews. Calling hours will be held on Sunday August 2, 2015 from 6-8 pm at the Dupuis Funeral Home 11 Hill Ave. in Ashland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday August 3, at 10:30 am at Holy Trinity Parish St. Agnes Catholic Church Hill Ave. in Ashland. Burial with military honors will be on Tuesday August 4, 2015 at 11am at the N.H. State Veterans Cemetery 110 Daniel Webster Highway in Boscawen. Donations may be made to Central N.H.
