Joyce Bickford Elliott 80, lost her battle with cancer on Sunday, December 14th.  Born in North Conway on January 19, 1945 to Leonard Paul Bickford and Doris (Leavitt) Bickford.  She was a resident of Madison and Chocorua Village most of her life. 


She attended Madison School and was a 1963 graduate of Kennett High School.  She moved to Ashland several years ago to be near her son Richard and his family.  In her life she worked as an Operator for New England Telephone and as an accountant for several area Businesses, including Carroll Reed Ski Shops home office in North Conway. 


She enjoyed photography, taking many wildlife and landscape pictures.  But her true passion was spending time with her grandsons and her great grandchildren.


She is survived by her son, Richard D. Currier and his partner Jennifer Cox of Holderness, Grandson William Currier (Amelia) of Holderness, Grandson Tyler Currier (Rachael) of Meredith, Great Grandchildren Elizabeth, Sarah, Evelyn, and Owen, Sister Judy Bickford Sassorossi (Kenn) of Seattle Washington and Madison, NH.


She was predeceased by her husband Roger Elliott, son Daniel Currier, daughter Sarah Elliott and brother Leonard Paul Bickford, Jr. 


As per her request there will be no calling hours.  There will be a graveside service in the Spring at the Chocorua Village Cemetery.


Memorial donations may be made to the Plymouth Area Meals on Wheels Program.
