Joseph Morin Obituary

Joseph Herbert “Joe” Morin,92, left this world on March 28, 2023, following a brief period of declining health. He will be sadly missed and will always be forever in our hearts. Born in Gilmanton on January 15, 1931, he was the son of Joseph and Arlene [Patten] Morin.

Joe resided in New Hampton for 66 years. He served his country in the US Army, following his service he was employed for 50+ years with W.P. Titus Construction; first as a stone mason, quickly working his way up to foreman. Upon retirement from W.P. Titus, he took on his second career at the New Hampton transfer station where he worked until just shy of his 88th birthday. Joe loved life and was always cracking jokes. He loved his family and friends. He was a fine craftsman and there was nothing he couldn’t build. He had many hobbies which included fishing, photography, gardening, building various doll and bird houses. He loved animals and was always surrounded by a menagerie of 4 legged and feathered friends.

He was predeceased by his wife Gertrude, and his son Dana.

He is survived by his loving daughter Marcy J. Myers of Sarasota, FL, his daughter-in-law, Susan E Morin of New Hampton and two grandsons, Joseph D. Morin of New Hampton, and Jeremy J. Morin of Gastonia, NC.

There will be a small graveside service for immediate family and close friends that will be announced soon.  Dupuis Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.  For more information go to Dupuisfuneralhome.com.
