Jean-Marc Dumont, 88, of Lincoln, New Hampshire died on October 11, 2025 at Speare Memorial Hospital following a sudden illness.

He was born in St Marguerite, Quebec, on June 25, 1937, the son of Leopaul and Germain (Sylvain) Dumont.  

He was a longtime resident of Lincoln, where he worked so many different jobs including the mill factory, and eventually as a contractor with Dumont Construction until the age of 83. While his professional life was fulfilling, his true passions lay with his family and his hobbies. Marc found his greatest joys on the water and the greens. He could often be found with a fishing rod in hand, patiently waiting for the next big catch. He also enjoyed countless rounds of golf. 

He was the beloved husband of Huguette Dumont for 61 years and a devoted father to both Robert and Marleen. He was “Papa” to so many in the community but especially to his 5 grandchildren: Casie Boynton, Ashley Vittum, Samantha Russell, Cyara Hebert, and Tori Caron. Marc also found so much joy in his 8 great grandkids: Alison Boynton, Mason Vittum, Liam Boynton, Logan Vittum, Delaney Boynton, Theodore Russell, Olivia Vittum, and Keegyn Oddis. He is also survived by his siblings: Bibbiane Gagnon, Pierrette Gagnon, Lucille Bedard, Andre Dumont, Donald Dumont, Jocelyn Dumont, and Guy Dumont, along with many nieces and nephews.

Marc was a man of quiet strength who deeply valued his faith, hard work, and his family. His passing leaves a profound void in the hearts of those who knew him and will be dearly missed by all. 

Calling hours will be held on Friday, October 24th from 5 to 7pm at the Dupuis Funeral Home, 11 Hill Avenue, in Ashland.   A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at St Joseph’s Catholic Church, 25 Church Street in Lincoln, at 11am.   For more information go to:  Dupuisfuneralhome.com.
