GLORIA M (COTE) FIELDS

Gloria M Fields, 83 of Hudson passed away in her home on January 23, 2020 after a fairly brief illness. She was born on January 1, 1937, the first baby of the New Year in Manchester; the daughter of Middy Cote and Verna G (Stevens) Cote of Windham, NH. Gloria attended Windham Schools, going on to and graduating from Nashua High School, class of 1954. She started her insurance career at the Leo B Dowd Insurance Agency in Nashua upon her graduation. She worked many years in the industry, became licensed, and eventually purchased the Agency, becoming President of Amoskeag Insurance Agency, Nashua Insurance Center, Hampton Insurance Center, Old Mill Insurance and several others along the way, retiring in 2012. Gloria was President of the Business and Professional Woman's Club in 1971. In addition she was an active member of the Nashua Rotary Club and named a Paul Harris Fellow. She enjoyed bird watching, her time spent on Lake Winnipeasaukee, traveling and her many friends. Gloria was predeceased by her parents and husband Frederick A Fields, Jr. She is survived by her daughter Sherry Fields Norman and partner Elliott E Dupuis of Ashland, her dog Oliver, and many nieces and nephews.
