Doris (Bishop) Hill, 77, of Ashland, NH died on March 18, 2015 at the Grafton CountyNursing home in Haverhill, after a long and courageous battle with dementia. She was born in Merrimack, NH on March 19, 1937 to the late Walter and Eva Bishop. She graduated from Merrimack High School in 1955 and married the love of her life, Bert Hill shortly thereafter. Doris worked for several years at Plymouth Stitching in Ashland NH as well as Ashland Elementary school as a kitchen aide. Doris was a talented and crafty woman who loved doing ceramics, knitting, gardening and cooking. She also loved taking vacations to Florida each year with her husband. Her biggest joy however, was being with her family. Whether it was making someone's favorite birthday meal or mending someone's clothes, she was always doing something to show how much she loved them. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. The family includes her husband of 59 years, Bert Hill of Ashland; two children, Mark Hill and his wife Diane of Ashland and Jody Hill and his wife Lorri of Bow; five grandchildren, Jason Hill and his wife Mickala of Holderness, Josh Hill and his wife Lisa of Bristol, Kasey Hill of Salem MA, Courtney Binette of Bow and Logan Cox of Ft. Myers, FL.; two great-grand children, Emma and Andrew Hill; a sister Annie Bullard and her husband Winfield of Lee as well as an aunt, cousins, a niece and nephews.
