David R O'Mara 67, died at the Catholic Medical Center on April 27, 2020 following a period of declining health. He was born in Laconia on October 14, 1952, the son of Walter J and Marion C (Mansfield) O'Mara. Dave was raised in Ashland, attended Ashland Schools and was a graduate of Ashland High School, a lifelong resident of Ashland. After his school years enlisted the US Army and served in the US Navy. Dave was a member of the Dupuis Cross Post #15 American Legion in Ashland. He worked as a caretaker for various properties in the area. He enjoyed target shooting, kayaking fishing, motorcycles, was an avid road tripper, and above all he enjoyed his grandchildren. David was the ultimate free spirit; he was predeceased by his parents and sister Kathy Marsh. He is survived by his daughter Sheri Coleman and husband Curtis of Albany, NH; Granddaughters Caroline and Georgia Coleman and Grandson Cooper Coleman, all of Albany; his sisters Janet O'Mara of Thornton, Elaine Willette of Bridgewater, Josephine McPhail, Carmen O'Mara, and Anita O'Mara; and many nieces and nephews.
