Barbara J Brunt passed away peacefully after a brief illness at Portsmouth Regional Hospital on February 8th just five days after her 84th birthday.  She was born in Plymouth, New Hampshire on February 3, 1941, the daughter of Albert and Odile (Lemire) Cote.  Barbara was raised in Ashland and attended Ashland Schools then relocated with her family to Franklin when she was 12.   She went on to graduate from Franklin High School, Class of 1958.  

Barbara married the love of her life (Bill) William Brunt Jr in 1961. They bought a house on Riverside Drive in Ashland, and she lived there until 2005 before moving to Holderness with her daughter and family.  She was predeceased by her husband (Bill) William Brunt Jr in 2000, and she never remarried.  She was also predeceased by both her parents, her brother Joe Cote from Summerville South Carolina and her sister Elaine Caldren from Franklin NH.

She was employed by IPC now known as Freudenburg-NOK in Bristol for most of her career in the payroll department. 

Barbara enjoyed traveling to Maine with Bill and enjoyed fresh seafood and visiting the lighthouses.  She loved cross stitching, and spending time with her granddaughters & great granddaughter.

Barbara is survived by her daughter Robin Brunt of Holderness, her granddaughters Caitlyn and Elizabeth Gailey of Holderness, great granddaughter Riley Gailey of Holderness; her brothers Ron Cote of Salsbury, Paul Cote of Bow and her sister Rachel Barton of Andover.

A graveside service will be held in the Green Grove Cemetery in the Spring.
