BRUCE W LEVOY Obituary
Bruce W. Levoy, 64, died on December 15, 2014 at Speare Memorial Hospital in Plymouth following a sudden illness. Born in Plymouth on April 27, 1950 he was the son of Milan and Doris [Sanborn] Levoy. He was raised in Plymouth where he was a graduate of Plymouth High School and went on to earn his degree at Plymouth State College. After his school years Bruce became a resident of Holderness, he was employed for many years by the State of New Hampshire as a Marine Patrol Officer. Bruce became a Holderness icon. He was an incredible patriot with great respect for the men and women who served this country. The Veterans Memorial and Holderness Honor Roll were important to him, and he spent much of his time volunteering as a self-appointed caretaker of the monuments. Spring and Summer days, he could be found watering the flowers and lawn, trimming the grass, and placing the flags around the memorials. He never missed parade or an opportunity to honor our veterans. He was a kind-hearted soul with a generous spirit who loved animals. It was Bruce's wish that he be remembered by a donation to the NH Humane Society at www.nhhumane.org. SERVICES: A celebration of life will be held in the spring of 2015 at a time to be announced. Dupuis Funeral Home in Ashland is handling the arrangements.
