Ann E Gavin, 98 passed away peacefully on January 2, 2026, following a period of declining health. Ann was born on July 15, 1927 in Providence, Rhode Island, the daughter of William J. McGovern DDS and Adeline Gorman McGovern. She was the loving wife of the late Hugh D Gavin Jr.. She lived in Warwick, RI all her married life, and spent twenty years in NH enjoying Newfound Lake for summers and holidays.

She was a graduate of Cranston High School and attended CCRI and URI Extension.  She was a volunteer at Kent Hospital for fifteen years. She enjoyed traveling, playing golf and gardening.

She was predeceased by her husband Hugh D. Gavin, Jr., her sister June Crane and her brother William J. McGovern.

She leaves behind three daughters, Gail Sharpe of Holderness, NH, Janice Barnard of Hebron, NH and Susan Talbot of Warwick, RI, six grandchildren, five great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
